Jess & Sam's Intimate Wedding Day
Whilst many people begin the New Year by setting resolutions and goals, Sam had only one thing on his mind. When asked what he wanted most from 2025, he smiled and declared that his true goal was simple: to marry Jess and make her his wife. It was a sentiment as heartfelt as it was certain, and the year that followed unfolded into the most beautiful celebration of that promise. As Jess carefully put on her earrings and added the finishing touch of perfume, she shared this beautiful story with me, her words as heartfelt as the moment itself.
There’s something incredibly special about weddings that are woven so deeply into family, tradition, and a sense of home. Jess and Sam’s day in Hampshire was the perfect example of that, colourful, heartfelt, and full of laughter from beginning to end.
I arrived in the morning to find Jess surrounded by her family, enjoying one of the most relaxed mornings I’ve ever seen before a wedding. No rush, no fuss, just cups of tea, shared stories, and a sense of calm anticipation. It was the perfect opportunity to quietly document all those little moments, the knowing glances, the laughter, the quiet hugs, the things that make mornings like these so meaningful.
The ceremony took place at the beautiful Blendworth church just next door, which couldn’t have been more perfect. Guests simply strolled across. It was simple, sacred, and full of warmth, a ceremony that felt like the heart of the whole day.
Afterwards, everyone gathered back at the family home for drinks on the lawn. The atmosphere was colourful and relaxed, children running about while guests clinked glasses and tucked into canapés. There’s something about being at home that makes everyone instantly comfortable, and that sense of belonging carried throughout the day.
As the sun dipped, we made our way to Hambledon Vineyard, the most idyllic setting for an evening celebration. Amongst the vines, guests sipped on elegant glasses of sparkling wine, speeches flowed as easily as the laughter, and the whole evening had that golden glow of togetherness. Watching friends and family raising their glasses against the backdrop of endless vineyards felt like the perfect ending to such a heartfelt day.
Jess and Sam’s wedding was everything a wedding should be: intimate, joyful, and a true reflection of their love and the people who matter most to them. A day full of colour, family, and celebration, and one I feel so lucky to have been a part of.
